“We're sitting here talking about practice…not a game, but we’re talking about practice.”

Yes, it’s a practice, not a game. Still, if you can’t wait another month to get your hoops fix, it should be just the answer to your prayers. Men’s basketball coach Tommy Amaker will be directing a coaching clinic all day tomorrow that is open for all students to attend.

From 9-11:30 a.m., the team will hold a morning practice available for public consumption. Make your way across the river to Harvard’s high school gymnasium (er, Lavietes Pavilion) to catch a glimpse of a Crimson squad much improved from last year. Old favorites like co-captains Jeremy Lin and Doug Miller will be dominating inside and out, and a couple of star rookies will be making their debuts too. Check out some video of the studs of the class of 2013, as well as the identity of the day’s special guest, after the jump!

Super-recruit Kyle Casey was pursued by Stanford and Vanderbilt and is rumored to have a 40-inch vertical. Ask him how the air is up there.

Brandyn Curry was ranked as the second-best point guard in his home state of North Carolina. This grainy footage doesn’t do his talents justice.

A special guest will be making an appearance too. Former NBA player Doug Collins, who has coached the Bulls, the Pistons, and the Wiz (including Michael Jordan, twice!!!) and is now an analyst for TNT, will be lecturing and answering questions in the afternoon, after a free catered lunch.
