An Excuse to Trick-or-Treat

If you’re looking for an excuse to trick-or-treat this Halloween, Harvard UNICEF is offering a unique opportunity. On Oct. 30, Harvard UNICEF will be organizing a Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF event here in Cambridge, followed by an auction event that will raise money for the humanitarian organization.

Groups of friends can trick-or-treat from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. with the iconic UNICEF boxes. Last year, Harvard students raised almost $1,000 from trick-or-treating in local neighborhoods, according to a Harvard UNICEF press release. Harvard UNICEF will also host its 2nd annual Halloween auction and benefit party in Cambridge from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The suggested donation to attend is $10, which includes a raffle ticket for the door prize.

For auction tickets or more information about trick-or-treating, e-mail hunicef@gmail.com. All money raised will support Harvard in the inter-ivy fundraising competition against Yale, Brown, Princeton, Columbia, and UPenn—if you really needed another reason to participate.
