The chill in the air may be getting you down, but hey, at least it’s not Monday any more!

Getting Exercise: It Is Possible!

Now that we’ve made it halfway through first semester, the fond hopes of moderate snacking and regular exercise have ceded to the reality of unlimited Funilla Vanilla froyo and hours of immobile p-setting. For the 80% of us non-athletes, the only exercise many of us may be getting is the occasional midnight trudge up four flights of stairs to the Language Resource Center. Everyone knows the benefits of exercise extend from physical health to mental well-being, but few of us have the willpower to hike to the MAC on 37-degree mornings or the coordination to kick a soccer ball without stubbing a toe (maybe that’s just me...). Never fear! Flyby has compiled a list of things you can do to begin a healthy lifestyle this fall.

Meet the Parents: 3 Infographics

With parents' weekend over, freshman reluctantly slink back to Annenberg and pray for the next cookie-filled care package from home. Flyby has compiled this analysis of this past weekend’s events. Click to magnify our table, chart, or graph.

#HarvardHashtags

If you’ve read Dean Pfister’s latest e-mail masterpiece, then you know about the recent launch a #HarvardinAutumn social media campaign. But if you’re not a fan of fall foliage, or if the only fall foliage you’ve seen here is a single red leaf that blew in through a window in Lamont, you might be looking for another way to express your school pride on Twitter. Flyby has imagined some other #hashtags that might be useful for Harvard students, and the tweets that could accompany them: Flyby has imagined some other #hashtags that might be useful for Harvard students, and the tweets that could accompany them:

Rise and shine! It's Monday again. We would tell you to celebrate by going to Yogurtland, but who wants to pay for 3 oz. of froyo? (Yep, they actually make you do this now, even on Mondays.)

Tips for Wearing Winter Apparel Around Harvard

As the weather continues to drop to chilly temperatures, it’s becoming increasingly harder to convince yourself to change out of your warm and fuzzy pajamas in the morning (read: you don’t have to). Here are some cold weather fashion trends that we’ve seen around campus:

The Art of the Harvard Humble Brag

Harvard students became masters in the art of the humble brag from the day they received their acceptance letters. We want everyone to know we’re from Harvard; don’t even try to deny it. Unfortunately, because it’s not written across our foreheads we’ve learned to cleverly get the point across without people realizing we’re huge tools (at first impression at least). Once we’re on campus, we can’t really brag about being from Harvard anymore, but that does not mean our need to brag disappears. Here are some common humble brags you may have heard around campus before instinctively rolling your eyes:

What To Do When There's Not House Renewal Construction

This week, Harvard announced that Winthrop will be in line after Dunster for House renewal, but it’s going to take a break from construction on any House in the 2015-2016 academic year first. Since we know students will miss being awoken in the early morning by the sounds of jack hammers, Flyby came up with a few ideas for projects that Harvard could pursue in the meantime.

Two Months In: Lessons Learned

It’s finally reached that wonderful time in the fall where everything you can possibly think of is pumpkin flavored (pumpkin soy dairy-free ice cream at J.P. Licks, anyone?) and it’s cold enough to start wearing ugly Christmas sweaters as an obnoxious hipster fashion statement. In addition to realizing that I can’t spend all of my money online shopping for cable knit winter socks, here are some lessons I’ve learned over the past few weeks:

Dean Pfister Delivers Again

The eagerly anticipated piece of surrealism and wit from Donald H. Pfister, Interim Dean of the College, appeared in undergraduate mailboxes on Tuesday afternoon and changed the administrative email game once again, offering intense revelations on subjects as varied as gigantic pumpkins and, implicitly, Instagram.

Happy Halloween! If you were out late celebrating the Red Sox win last night, you can wear sunglasses to class and call it a costume.
