Vendors set up booths along the boardwalk to sell souvenirs. Oftentimes they’ll bring furry friends to keep guard over their stations while they’re out running errands.
Graffiti Trees
Even the trees, which stand just a few paces away from the graffiti wall, are spray painted by graffiti artists. The graffiti artists in Venice Beach use virtually any medium available to them.
Starry Night Wall Painting
Wall art is a staple at the Venice Boardwalk. This rendition of van Gogh's "Starry Night" can be seen down one of the alleys that branches off of the Boardwalk.
Relaxing on Venice Boardwalk
These men, who sell stickers for people to decorate their skateboards with, relax in a mid-afternoon lull to engage in a game of chess.
Musicians at Venice Beach
The grassy space between the Boardwalk and the sand is a popular place for people to sit and enjoy the California sunshine. People can often be seen sketching and playing music with their friends.
Reggae for Kids
This man and his "Reggae for Kids" CD are fixtures at the Venice Boardwalk. On any given day, he can be seen wheeling around a boom box in a wagon, playing a funky reggae version of "The Itsy Bitsy Spider".
