When you’ve been winning for 88 years, it’s hard to make a season stand out. As problems go, it’s a good one to have, but it’s the problem that the Harvard men’s swimming and diving team faced at the beginning of the 2017-2018 campaign.
Men's Swimming and Diving Claims Eight All-America Accolades at National Meet
All season, Harvard has risen to the occasion of high-stakes meets. This weekend was no different as the Crimson traveled to Minneapolis for the 2018 NCAA Championships and picked up eight All-America accolades en route to an 18th-place finish to close out its season. Six All-America honors from sophomore Dean Farris pushed Harvard to an 18th-place finish in the nation.
Men's Swimming and Diving Runs Away With Ivy Crown
The Crimson took no chances in making sure that history didn’t repeat itself at this year’s championship meet, held this week at DeNunzio Pool in Princeton, N.J. Harvard led from the first event and eclipsed the rest of the Ivy League to capture the Ancient Eight crown for the second year in a row and the 25th time overall.

Women's Lacrosse Remains Undefeated in Conference with 17-12 Win over Dartmouth
In each of its last two matchups, the Harvard women’s lacrosse team has had to contend with a late push from its opponent. Dartmouth’s late efforts would not be enough to overcome a dominating offensive performance from the Crimson. In the end, Harvard (6-4, 3-0 Ivy) came away with the win in Hanover, N.H., beating out the Big Green, 17-12 to remain undefeated in the Ancient Eight.
Women's Lacrosse Drops Thriller to Stanford in Final Seconds
The Harvard women’s lacrosse team certainly has experience with close games. Tuesday’s non-conference matchup against Stanford at Harvard Stadium fit the pattern. Despite holding the lead for the majority of the game, the Crimson let up a goal in the final two seconds to lose by a single tally, 10-9.
