Flyby's 2026 Meet the Bloggers!
Ava H. Rem ’27
Dearest gentle reader,
Thanks for being one of the flyest people I know and supporting my hard-hitting journalism for three years running, including but not limited to recreating Dean Khurana's Harvard-Yale photos (yup, even that one...) and becoming a D1 bush jumper with Mr. WGC.
As a DCOM obsessed gal from the Big Apple, dilly dallying through flyfe is in my bones, even more so now that I get to be Chair with MJJ!! So stay on the lookout for more outlandish side quests from me and the rest of our incredible board! <3

I'm Mirika — I've had the privilege of chairing flyby with AHR ’27 and AG ’26 and covering groundbreaking news along the way. Highlights include reporting overheards at Harvard-Yale, taking the new SAT for fun, and giving readers unsolicited life advice. I flove writing articles, making killer Comic Sans graphics, and spending time with the flyby flamily. I'm a girl from the mythical land of Central New Jersey, a recovered Lamonster, and the biggest bagel fan you'll ever meet. There are a lot of great things in store for flyby this year, so stay tuned, dear readers — you won't want to miss a thing!!

Living out my childhood dreams of writing quizzes for Teen Vogue by doing the next closest thing — blogging for The Crimson! If I'm not assigning Harvard houses to months of the year, bagel toppings, or toothpaste brands (kidding, sort of), you can find me eating an Eliot Dhall cinnamon roll.

Hi, I’m Wyatt, a Government and Art History concentrator with a long history of bush jumping, tunnel curiosity, and aggressively fliving my flyfe. When I am not befriending campus shrubbery, I produce award-winning investigative journalism. Stay tuned. Things will get crazier.

Flyby is the place to be. Everyone talks about the kind of legacy they want to leave behind at Harvard, and I am grateful to say that mine is having my Q-Guide roundup article quoted in Andrew Berry’s LS1B class. Luckily for me, my passions often overlap with my articles — writing has enabled my addiction to Trader Joe’s and falling for the traps of overpriced seasonal menus. In the meantime, catch me running the Cambridge half in a banana costume. This is the flyfe!

I am a junior in Mather House studying Applied Mathematics and Mind, Brain, Behavior. I enjoy soup, designing tabletop role-playing games, and listening to people infodump about their research and/or extracurricular interests. Answer my riddles three, and you may receive a boon.

I am a sophomore studying Psychology and Statistics. I’m also Flyby’s resident artist, which is probably why I can’t think of anything Flyby-esquely funny to write in this intro . . . besides digital art, I can be found designing at Tech For Social Good, trying to replicate MasterChef recipes, or reading (and writing) fantasy!

Heyyyy y’all. My name is Cristian, and I am from the beautiful (and scorching) city of San Antonio, Texas. I’m so excited to direct Comp this year! I live in the BEST house, Winthrop, and am concentrating in bioengineering. In my free time, I like to doomscroll, play volleyball, bother my friends, and shop till I drop.
Grace E. St. Laurent ’28
I am from Sturbridge, Massachusetts. I enjoy touching grass and procrastinating my o-chem work by writing more flyby pieces. I’m super excited to direct comp this year with CDD and birth the next generation of flyby writers. Flun fact: I can qualk from my home in Cabot to the Crimson building in 12 minutes flat.

A Flybaddie from PANAMA 🇵🇦 💪 and the reigning champion of flassasin (iykyk), I am proud to be one of the new associate blog editors! Outside of working on hard-hitting journalism, I’m probably reading… and reading some more!
Christiana L. Zembrowski ’28
I’m not only a flyby enthusiast but also a Turkey and Cheese sandwich enthusiast from the commonly mistaken FlyBy, so when I’m not writing blog pieces, I’m probably sitting in the basement of Memorial Hall.

A Floridian-turned-Harvard student, I would freeze every winter if it weren’t for the sunshine Flyby brings to my life. Becoming besties with HUDS staff who have impeccable taste in music and professionally curating fall soundtracks for our flyest readers is exactly where I want to be! You’ll also find me around campus as a Roving Reporter. When I’m not writing, you can find me singing with my a cappella group, meticulously crafting the perfect digicam photo, or journaling my heart out by the Charles River (it’s an art).
Cassidy M. Cheng ’28
Hello, and thanks for being a loyal reader of the flyest board at the Crimson! From analyzing the blocking system to complaining about Boston winters (as a true West coaster), I flove the spontaneous fun we get up to and can’t wait to explore more this semester!
Valerie I. Ogboi ’29
Hi reader! My name is Val, and I'm really excited to write this year. A bit about me: I'm a huge movie buff, I like emo and R&B music, and I can't stand chocolate (only the important facts). See ya!
Ruslana Vardanyan ’29
Hello, Flyby! I’m so honored to be projecting my childhood grievances onto unsuspecting audiences for the launch of my amateur journalistic career. No, but seriously, I’m beyond excited to join the Flyfam and get to whine ad nauseam about minuscule campus inconveniences in exchange for a modest supply of Trader Joe’s snacks. Prepare for trouble and make it quadruple: prolonged, wordy, convoluted, and borderline nonsensical sentences, that is, for young hominins to punctuate intuitively.
Won-Gyeom Yang ’29
Hello readers! I am a first-year student who is interested in plants and nature to the point that my friends say I could photosynthesize on my own! In my free time, I enjoy climbing some colorful plastic rocks, playing the piano, and peering through a telescope at the sky.
Aerin Chen ’29
Hi! I'm Aerin, a freshman in Wigg studying Government and Chinese. In addition to writing for Flyby, I'm involved with CIVICS and the Harvard Votes Challenge! I adore spending way too much money at Trader Joe's, taking the T just for kicks sometimes, thrifting, and NPR podcasts. <3
Charlotte R. Feigin ’29
I am a freshman from Virginia, who currently wishes to be on a beach somewhere sipping an iced tea, but will settle for a sendy hike in the White Mountains and local legend status on Strava. You can catch me around campus — I’m so excited to be a Roving Reporter!
Alison Hwang ’29
I’m a freshman from California! Despite it only being January, I have already crossed off dining in 32/100 new restaurants on her Beli. You’ll always find me on a quest for detailed (and brutally honest) restaurant reviews.
