AGNOSTICISM AND ATHEISM TO ENGAGE STRATON, GIVLER

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

On the floor of the Union tonight, Professor R. C. Givler Ph.D. '14, of the Department of Psychology at Tufts College, will seek to stem the oratory of Reverend John Roach Straton, noted fundamentalist, in an effort to uphold the cause of Agnosticism and Atheism. Professor Givler, who was an instructor in the University from 1917 to 1919, is the author of several books on philosophical subjects.

At the meeting of the Debating Union in the Living Room of the Union at 7.30 o'clock, the question to come under fire will be: "Resolved, That this house believes that the growing tendency toward Agnosticism and Atheism is undermining our social structure." The question will be moved by Paul Henle '29, who will be opposed by A. L. Raffa ocC. Dr. Straton will speak third, for the affirmative, and Professor Givler will take the stand for the negative as the final speaker. The floor will afterwards be open to all members of the University.
