Crimson One-Mile Aggregation Should Outrun Crusaders--Record Number of Colleges Numbered

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In the first contest of the 1932 winter track season, close to 60 Harvard athletes will compete at the Boston Garden tomorrow night in the eleventh annual open meet sponsored by the Massachusetts Council of the Knights of Columbue in memory of William C. Prout. Pitted against 456 runners and high jumpers, from a record number of colleges, mostly Now England, the Crimson squad is centering its hopes on a seasoned one-mile relay team.

The University relay aggregation will line-up for the starting gun favorites; the Holy Cross septet, their most formidable opponents, is obliged to run without its stellar captain, Bernard McCafferty, who will not compete in the meet. E. B. Cole '32, N. P. Dodge '33, J. C. Grady '33, Hamilton Kollmeyer '33, J. M. Morse '34, J. H. Pearson '32, and E. E. Record '32 will carry the baton.

The Crimson one-milers show promise. Two veterans who will run are G. N. Barrie '32 and B. E. Estes '32, who have performed well in time trials during the last week.
