The University sculling championships came to a close Friday on the Charles as undergraduates swept the six first places. Only two Law School students and one from the Business School placed among the first 12.
John Hart won the one-mile Darcey Cup race in senior Siugles with Dick Emmet of the Law School second. Stu McDill and Sam Hear placed one and two in the three-quarter mile junior singles, while Frank Manheim and John Carnes came in first and second in the half-mile novice singles.
Derrick Wild beat Bill Brawley in the 155-pound singles over a half-mile. Morgan Hatch edged Charles Gardiner of the Business School in comps, while Ed Wilford came in ahead of Lee Segel in wherries.
