The question of limiting the regular academic course of the University to three years is not a new one. The subject was brought up a few years ago in several of the larger Universities, but no decisive action resulted, and the matter dropped for the time.

It now appears that the plan is at present under the consideration of the Faculty. Up to this time, however, no decision has been reached by the authorities, although it has been reported that the majority of the Faculty are in favor of some such scheme. We shall watch further developments with interest, but until the matter assumes a more definite form, we feel that we are hardly in a position to discuss it.
