Monroe's Sixth Reader is the text book used in Elocution by the seniors and juniors. The first part of the hour is devoted to exercises which give easy action to the muscles employed in speaking, and also to obtaining pure tones and improving the quality of the voice. The latter part of the hour is given to reading selections from Monroe's Sixth Reader.
