By the calendar we see that on the first four evenings of next week will be given entertainments of special interest to the college. The enterprise of the Natural History Society in inviting Prof. Trelease to lecture here is most commendable. On the same evening Mr. Briggs finishes "The Knightes Tale." The Tuesday course of lectures is brought to an end by Mr. Lodge's lecture on "The Uses and Responsibilities of Leisure." A more appropriate subject for the final lecture is hard to conceive. Moreover the lecturer is one who will be exceedingly welcome to Harvard hearers. But special interest is centred in the meetings of Wednesday. The fact that the prayer petitions are to be considered by the Overseers makes the day a notable one in the week. In the evening Dr. Farnham gives his fourteenth lecture on "Health and Strength." The Orchestral Concert in Sanders on Thursday closes this interesting list. The coming week certainly promises to be an exceedingly entertaining and instructive one.
