The first in the series of inter-class games was played yesterday afternoon on Jarvis, between '87 and '88. As was to be expected, the freshmen showed up in good form, owing to the steady training of the past few weeks. The sophomores, however, disappointed their class-mates by making a wretched showing, both at the bat and in the field. '88 batted strongly and fielded fairly well. The score:
