The Grant Memorial University, of Athens, Tenn., will observe General Grant's birthday, April 27th, with appropriate ceremonies. President Spence will preside. Judge Rea, of Minnesota, Commander-in-chief of the Grand Army of the Repulic, will deliver the oration. The University was founded in 1867, General Grant contributing the first cash donation. It has turned out over a thousand preachers and teachers, and owns property valued at $200,000.
