The continuation of the pleasant weather of the preceding day brought the lacrosse team out on Jarvis Saturday for the second outdoor practice of the season. Though considerable promising material appears, the captain is anxious that lacrosse players should show a more general interest in the practice work. The members of last year's team who are now playing are: Davidson, captain, Griffing, Towle, Drake, Hughes, and Henshaw, '90, and of the substitutes Morton, Wells, Griswold, and Kilvert. The new men are: Thorndike, Naumberg, Reisner, Pulsifer, '90, Hunneman, Grew, Rourke, Huntress, Bancroft, and Newall. It is expected that Harding of last years team will begin work after the recess, as well as more new men.

The practice work on Saturday showed that there was considerabel skill among the new men; and taking into consideration those who remain of last year's victorious team, the prospects for an equally successful team this year are excellent. The enviable records of previous lacrosse teams ought to prove a valuable incentive to the present players.

Beyond the championship games there is no settled schedule for this season. Practice matches will, however, be played throughout the season with clubs, from the vicinity of Boston. It is expected that there will be a game with the Cambridge team Fast Day, although this has not been fully settled. Of the championship games to be played, only those against Lehight and New York University will take place in Cambridge. The remainder, those with Princeton and Stevens Institute, will be played away from home.

Lacrosse has not in the past received the attention due it from the students, and it is to be hoped that the present year will see a change of attitude in this regard.
