At a meeting of last year's freshman nine, F. W. Griffin was elected temporary captain for the current year. J. C. Hunt was appointed manager.

There are nine men at Exeter whose total strength is over 700, according to the anthropometric system which is used at Harvard. Four men are above 800 and the strongest, F. W. Van Lengen '97, has a total strength of 909.8.

A new and valuable astronomical clock has been presented to Yale. It is called a "universal solar and sidereal clock," and is useful in showing the changes in time due to differences in longitude at any part of the world, and when the changes in seasons occur.
