F. W. TAUSSIG.Messrs Sears and Slocum were beaten in the doubles in the New Haven Tennis Club Tournament by Messrs. Thatcher and Beach, two players belonging in New Haven. The score was 6 - 3, 6 - 4, and the result was a great surprise to everyone.

Dartmouth administered a severe defeat to the Amherst nine at Amherst on Tuesday. Dartmouth made twenty-one hits to her opponents nine. The errors were about evenly divided. The final score was twenty-one to seven. Several of the Dartmouth team made four hits each.

There was a great celebration at Andover over Andover's victory over Exeter. An extra number of the Phillipian was issued, with a half page cut in which were represented two porkers, one of which was dancing a jig, while the other was weeping freely. The latter of course represented Exeter.
