The reception of the Deutscher Verein last night proved a very enjoyable affair in every way and the members are to be congratulated on the success of their efforts. This reception is the first of what it is hoped to make a series of annual entertainments which are to be the nucleus of the social life of the Verein. The first attempt has certainly shown that such receptions can be held and held successfully, and the future of the Verein at least in this respect will be looked forward to with the greatest interest. It was a significant fact that so many members of the Faculty were present; when they give an evening from their work to such an event it shows an interest which must be very gratifying to the members of the organization.
