The Freshman Game Tomorrow.

Tomorrow afternoon the annual football game between the Harvard and Yale freshmen will be played on Jarvis field. Harvard freshmen have been winning this game for several years now and the college expects Ninety-four to follow the good example set them by the other classes in college. The eleven has played loosely all fall and has been sharply criticised. But it has been greatly strengthened by the addition of 'varsity men this week, and on Tuesday and Wednesday really began to show some semblance of team work. Below are given the ages. weight and height of the team as it will probably be made up and those of the most promising substitutes:

Age. Weight. Height.

Wrenn, 19 150 5 11

Shea, 21 166 5 11

Shaw, 21 194 5. 8

Mackie, 20 165 6.2

Saltonstall, 18 185 6.

Newell, 20 1611/2 5.7

Waters, 19 168 5.10

Cabot, 18 137 5.4

Corbett, 21 156 5.8

Sherwin, 18 1421/2 5.10

Stone, 19 135 5.10

Gardner, 20 135 5.8

Gage, 18 150 5.1

Quigley, 19 122 5.3

Bond, 17 165 5.9

The eleven has been coached this week by Captain Cumnock and other 'varsity men. The men are a little show about settling down to work, but when they do get warmed up play a hard. aggressive game.

The Yale freshman team has been working faithfully this fall. From its practice games it would seem that the team has been playing a stronger game than the Harvard freshmen have. But it will not receive so many 'varsity players. Bliss, Lewis, Noyes and Polk have played on the 'varsity at various times during the fall. If the first two played in yesterday's game with Princeton, they are not apt to be in condition to play another hard game on Saturday. If Bliss does play he is apt to give Harvard considerable trouble, as he is a very deceptive run ner. The most promising candidates for the team are as follows: Ends, James, Cockrane, Burr, Crosby; tackles. Van Huyck, Miller, Polk, Story and McMillan; guards, Winter, Dunkerson, Lewis and Perkins; centre. Perkins and McDuflie; quarterback, Jenkins and Word; half-back, L. Bliss, McCormick (captain), Noyes, Henry and Stewart.

The team as a whole does not follow the ball closely and lacks snap in lining up; the backs are apt to fumble the ball while running, but their tackling and interference is good.
