The class in developing exercises met yesterday at 5 o'clock for the first time. The work at present will consist of light movements and will occupy only about 15 minutes each day, but as the men become hardened it will be made more severe.
There are 140 places on the floor and these have been assigned to those men who first signified their intention of joining the class.
There is no room for more regular members, but Dr. Sargent has announced that if anyone is not in position three minutes after the whistle is blown, his place may be taken by anyone else who has signed the book in the office. If enough men sign the book at the office, another class will be formed.
Yesterday there seemed to be a chance for all the men who appeared, despite the fact that there about 200 names on the waiting list.
