Law School Statistics.

The number of new entries at the Law School is somewhat smaller this year than it was last, there being up to this time but 161, as against 185 at the corresponding date last year. This falling off is due to a new regulation by which special students are no longer admitted without examination. As most of the special students were men who were not college graduates, the result of this rule is that the proportion of college graduates is much larger this year than in preceding years. Of the 185 men who entered last year, 60 per cent. were graduates of colleges. This year, out of 161 entries, 128 men, or 79 per cent, are graduates.

Following is a list of the colleges represented, with the number from each:

Harvard 52 Wesleyan 2

Yale 11 Iowa 2

Amherst 7 Michigan 2

Brown 6 De Pauw 2

Princeton 4 Bowdoin 2

Williams 4 Bates 2

Leland Stanfor 4 Oregon 2

Dartmoth 2 Alleghany 2

Marietta 1 U. of Pa. 1

Kenyon 1 Notre Dame 1

Beloit 1 Ohio Wesleyan 1

Illinois 1 Creighton 1

California 1 New Windsor 1

W. Virginia 1 Rochester 1

Columbia 1 Hiram 1

Boston College 1 Laval 1

Holy Cross 1 Mt. Angel 1

Georgetown 1 Mt. St. Mary 1

Dalhousie 1 W. P. I. 1

Total number 128.

This list is correct only for the time being. Men are allowed to enter at any time of the year, and for this reason the list of entries is constantly increasing.
