Christian Association Convention.

The opening meeting of the convention of presidents of college Christian Association which is being held under the auspices of the Harvard Association will be in Holden Chapel at nine o'clock this morning. The convention will continue three days, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There will be three sessions each, at hours which will be settled upon at the first meeting. The convention is not an assembly of general delegates from the different colleges but is intended to be especially a meeting of the officers. Consequently the representatives are mostly presidents or general secretaries of Associations. All members of the Harvard Association however, and all others interested in the work are cordially invited to attend the meetings.

The object of the convention is to review the conditions of the Associations in the different colleges; the features of the work will be discussed with a view to making the Associations more efficient.

The delegates assembled last evening but adjourned to attend Professor Drummond's lecture. The opening session was to have been held after the lecture but as a good many delegates had not arrived, it was postponed until this morning. Among the delegates are men from almost all the New England colleges from a number of preparatory schools and from two colleges in Canada. The delegates who have arrived are as follows:

Maine: - Bowdoin, George E. DuMott; Bates, W. E. Paige; Colby, W. B. Tuthill.

New Hampshire: - Darthmouth, C. C. Merrill; Colby, H. A. Calhoun.

Vermont: - Tory Conference Academy W. C. Darby; Vermont Academy, II. Hatfield.
