Next Friday evening there will be a meeting in Sanders Theatre in the interests of the religious societies of the University and student volunteer work. President Eliot will preside and deliver the opening address. He will be followed by Rev. Dr. McKenzie, Bishop Lawrence, ex-Governor W. E. Russell, and Professor Peabody, and by one representative from each of the four religious societies, the Christian Association, the Religious Union, the St. Paul's Society, and the Catholic Club.

The object of the meeting is two-fold: to tell what each of the religious societies stands for and the work it is doing, and to organize the voluntary philanthropic and religious work of the students. With this in view, a central committee of fifteen will be formed and will place itself in communication with religious societies in Boston and Cambridge, such as the Associated Charities, the Prospect Union, the Andover House, and the various boys' clubs.
