In the first two games of the final round of the scrub baseball series, played yesterday afternoon, the Farmers defeated the Lady Fingers by the score of 8 to 2; and the No Names defeated Scrub 1 by the score of 2 to 0.

The game between the No Names and Scrub 1 was one of the best played of the series. It was a pitchers' battle throughout, and both Wilder and Galbraith were in fine form. The fielding on both sides was excellent, only one error being made by each team. Carleton, of Scrub 1, made a clean stop of a hard hit in the seventh inning. The score by innings was:

Innings. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

No Names, 0 2 0 0 0 0 0 0 0-2

The Farmers had an easy victory over the Lady Fingers, only five innings being played. The hard batting of the Farmers was the only feature of interest. Forbes, of the Lady Fingers, caught a high drive off Field's bat in the fifth inning and made a pretty double play. The score by innings was:

Innings. 1 2 3 4 5

Farmers, 5 1 1 1-8

Lady Fingers, 0 0 1 0 1-2
