Daniel W. Shea, who for several years was prominently identified with athletics here at the University, died last Friday at his home in Boston. Shea entered Harvard with the class of '94 but left in the middle of his junior year, being prevented by ill health from finishing his course. While at Harvard he played on his freshman football team, was substitute on the victorious '91 eleven, and in '92 was on the 'varsity football squad until he injured his knee and was compelled to retire.
