In another column we print the Nation's review of Professor Dyer's edition of the 'Apology of Socrates.' Such a work as Professor Dyer's is a credit, not only to its editor, but to our university. It is the best possible answer to those who insist that Greek is going to the dogs here, because it is no longer required in course. It is further an excellent means to keep Greek from going to the dogs. A good text-book in the hands of a good teacher will do more than a dozen requirements to get thorough and valuable work in any department.
