From the present outlook the Gymnasium will not be ready for use before December at the earliest. Even then the electric lighting will not be completed, but enough lights will be up to make the building available in the evening.
The steam-workers, who have caused all the unfortunate delay, will be through on Saturday, but the wood-work and plumbing are still in a backward state and must necessarily progress slowly.
The lockers are arranged much more conveniently than formerly, and the bath room is light and commodious.
The cage, which has been used for the freshman baseball practice, has been floored, and hereafter will be devoted to indoor sprinting.
Dr. Sargent has not yet decided what to do with the large open spaces in the basement which were filled with lockers, but they will probably be used for class work.
