Two diamonds have been laid out for baseball practice on Soldiers Field within the enclosure where secret practice was held last fall, and, considering that yesterday morning was the first time the ground had been rolled, it was in remarkably good condition.
The practice yesterday was hard while it lasted. The in-fielders practiced on the diamonds and the men were changed about a good deal so that every one would have a chance. The out-fielders were sent over to the field where the football games were held last fall and were coached by J. Wiggin. L. A. Frothingham and J. A. Highlands coached the in-fielders.
