I. C. A. A. and A. A. U.

The delegates from the Amateur Athletic Union met the Intercollegiate Athletic Association Committee in New York on Monday evening, and conferred at length concerning the proposed alliance between the two organizations. In brief, the articles of agreement presented by the Amateur Athletic Union make the following provisions:

First. That the Intercollegiate Athletic Association may be represented at A. A. U. meetings by four delegates, having collectively one vote.

Second. That one of their delegates shall be chosen to be a member of the Board of Governors of the A. A. U.

Third. That all members of A. A. U. clubs entering intercollegiate games shall be governed by I. C. A. A. rules; but members of associate colleges entering A. A. U. games shall be subject to the rules of the Amateur Athletic Union.

That the articles may be terminated by either organization upon thirty days' notice.

The articles were favorably commented on by college men; but as the delegates were not authorized to act for the Intercollegiate Association, no definite agreement was reached. However, any recommendations which the committee may make will, in all probability, be accepted.
