Hasty Pudding Play.

The Hasty Pudding Club will give the first performance of its annual spring theatricals in the club house tonight. It will be "Graduate Night" and open only to past or present members of the Club.

The play is entitled "The Sphinx, or Love at Random." The music, which is entirely original, is written by L. S. Thompson '92, who composed a part of the music for last year's play. The libretto is by D. Gray '92. The scene of the play is in Egypt. In addition to the following east of principal characters, there is a large chorus:

The Club will give four performances of the play in New York during the recess. They will be at the Manhattan Athletic Club theatre on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, April 7, 8 and 9, with a matinee Saturday.

The Boston performances will be at Horticultural Hall on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, April 21, 22, and 23. The Cambridge performances will in the Club House on Monday and Tuesday evenings, April 25 and 26.

Both the principals and the chorus have been very carefully trained this year. The music is excellent and the whole play, judging from the rehearsals, promises exceedingly well.
