At a meeting of the Board of Overseers yesterday the following appointments were made:

A. C. Garrett, Ph.D., was appointed instructor in English from Sept. 1, 1895.

These instructors were appointed for one year from Sept. 1, 1895; J. J. Hayes, elocution; G. S. Rice, S.B., sanitary engineering; W. E. McClintock, highway engineering; J. G. Lathrop, athletics; Alphonse Brun, French; H. C. Bierwirth, German; A. M. La Meslee, French; C. H. Ashton, mathematics; A. C. Coolidge, history; G. H. Parker, zoology; F. B. Williams, Roman law; W. McM. Woodworth, microscopical anatomy; W. V. Moses, drawing and machine designs; John Cummings, political economy; D. L. Turner, surveying and hydraulics; J. B. Woodworth, geology; L. S. Marks, mechanical engineering; G. F. Newton, designing and drawing, J. W. Churchhill, elocution.

These instructors were appointed for one year from Sept. 1, 1895: J. D. M. Ford, French; J. A. Walg, German; G. A. Dorsey, anthropology; V. A. Wright, descriptive geometry and stereotomy.

S. H. Durgin was re - appointed for one year from Sept. 1, 1895, as lecturer on Hygiene.

J. N. Fisher, M. D., was re-appointed for the same time as lecturer on mental diseases.

These instructors were re-appointed for one year from Sept.1, 1895: W. M. Conant, anatomy; F. B. Mallory, pathology; H. P. Quincy, histology; A. T. Cabot, genito-urinary and chemical surgery; S. J. Mixter, surgery; F.S. Watson, genito-urinary surgery; E. G. Cutter, theory and practice of physics; W. W. Gannett. chemical medicine; C. F. Withington, chemical medicine; H. F. Vicery, chemical medicine; E. M. Buckingham, diseases of children.

These instructors were appointed for one year from Sept. 1, 1895; S. H. Monks. clinical surgery; Edward Reynolds, obstetrics; George Haven, gynaecology; Franz Pfaff, pharmacology; Abner Post, syphiles.

The following special clinical instructors were appointed for one year from September 1, 1895: John Homans, G. W. Gay, Edward Cowles, T. A. DeBlois, J. W. Farlow, A. Cavlidge, Jr., G. L. Waltar, P. C. Knapp and Morton Prince.

Alfred Schaper, M. D., was appointed Demonstrator of Histology and Embryology for one year from September 1, 1895. Edmund Hersay, Superintendent of Bussey Farm and Instructor in Farming from September 1, 1895.

The following men were reappointed as proctors for one year: L. K. Morse, J. H. Boynton, L. T. Damon, Hollis Webster, F. C. Schrader, J. C. Hart, J. E. Eaton, F. C. McLanglilin, W. P. Few, H. V. Neal, F. W. Truscott, J. E. Lough, G. D. Chase, W. J. Miller.

As proctors for one year: F. O. Grover, R. C. Manning, Jr., C. M. Reade, R. R. Truitt, F. C. Prescott.

H. C. Wright, A. B., proctor of Divinity Hall for one year.
