The eighty odd candidates for the Pennsylvania crews began work on Monday. Coach Ward thinks the material is very good, and hopes by next Saturday to be able to give the probable make-up of the crews for the fall regatta, which is to be held during the first week in November. If the Schuylkill is found to be wide enough the four college crews will all race at once, the winning crew to row in the final heat. The crews from the Medical and the Law Schools will race in the same way, if more than one crew is entered from each.
