The Rev. Charles Babbidge '28, died on Thursday at his home in Pepperell, Mass., at the advanced age of ninety-one years.
Dr. Babbidge graduated from the College in the class of 1828, from the Divinity School in '32, and received an S. T. D. in 1883. He served in the war as chaplain of the old Sixth Massachusetts Regiment, the first to respond from this state, and later he served in the same capacity in the Twenty-Sixth Regiment. He was over fifty years of age when he entered the army and was one of the most conscientious and patriotic chaplains in the volunteer service.
