Whist Club.

The Whist Club has begun the year under very favorable circumstances. There are now about twenty-five members in the club, including many graduates who are back in the Law School.

After the first of December the club will enter the New England Whist Association, members of which are eligible to play for the Morse and other trophies. This will give the Harvard Club good practice with the strongest players in this vicinity.

The club is very desirous of obtaining permanent rooms, which may be used for matches and meetings. Unless the membership is increased this will be impossible.

An attempt is being made to arrange a match with some Philadelphia club, to take place just before the Harvard-U. of P. football game, but no definite arrangement has as yet been made. The date of the Yale match has not yet been decided upon.
