Beside G. Newell '98, and D. Grant '99, the following men were chosen yesterday afternoon at the mile trials to represent Harvard in the team-race to be held at the New York interscholastic games next Saturday: C. H. Williams '98 and A. W. Blakemore '97, as regular men, and E. A. Starbuck '98 and N. Matthews '98, substitutes. Grant ran a mile alone in 4m. 37 2/5s. Newell did not run on account of a sore foot. Williams ran his trial in 4m. 42 1/5s. with Blakemore, Starbuck and Matthews, in the order named, about ten yards behind.

Men were at work yesterday upon the Holmes Field track, raking and smoothing it off, preparatory to using it as soon as possible. If the weather permits, the team, or at least the mile men who are going to New York, will begin to run there at once.
