Harvard won the second annual whist tournament with Yale at New Haven Saturday. The teams took their seats as follows: Harvard, first table, C. D. Booth 1L (captain), W. T. Denison '96; second table, J. W. Peck '96, F. N. Morrill '97; third table F. C. Thwaits 3L., C. E. Whitmore 2L. Yale, first table, F. Bryant, R. Cameron; second table, W. A. Hendrich, R. Schuyler; third table, L. A. Conklin (captain), N. B. Beecher.
The duplicate game of 24 hands was used, each of the three tables taking eight hands every round. Harvard led by seven points at the end of the first round. In the first of the third round Yale had a gain of one point, the only time she led during the match.
The score by rounds was:
