The 'varsity baseball practice yesterday was much the same as usual; in each of the two squads a game was played by the first and second nines. The second squad showed some improvement both in batting and fielding. It has been strengthened by the addition of Edmunds who played centre field on last year's freshman team. McVey, while backing up the second baseman, was struck in the face by a thrown ball. The injury, although painful, is not serious.
