LIVE UPDATES: Pro-Palestine Protesters Begin Encampment in Harvard Yard
On Saturday afternoon the Harvard lacrosse team defeated the All-Massachusetts team on Holmes Field by the score of eight goals to none. The Harvard team was much the stronger, and at no time did Massachusetts have a chance of winning. In fact only once was Harvard's goal in danger. Harvard made four goals in the first and four in the second half.
The best playing for Harvard was done by Burley and Ring, and for All-Massachusetts by Horne. The line-up of the teams was as follows:
Harvard-Ring, outside home; Burley (captain), inside home; Taylor, first attack; Brookings, second attack; Ladd, third attack; Swezey, center; N. P. Breed, third defence; G. Breed (Schwartenburg), second defence; Wilder, first defence; Woods, point; Sands, coverpoint; Coolidge, goal.
All Massachusetts-Gahn, outside home; G. C. Ferrin, inside home; Davenport, first attack; Graves, second attack; Phelps, third attack; Horne (captain), centre; Woodbury, third defence; Johnson, second defence; Jones, first defence; Finlaysen, point; C. A. Ferrin, coverpoint; Sprague, goal.
Goals-by Ladd, 2; Ring, 3; Burley, 2, and Brookings, 1.
