First Lacrosse Game.

Today the lacrosse team plays its first game of the season against the Crescent Athletic Club on Soldiers Field. The Crescent team is composed principally of men who went to England in 1897 and there won nearly every game. Last year the same team won all its games in Canada, and this year it has already beaten the Johns Hopkins team, who have been intercollegiate champions for the last two years.

The officials will be: Referee, C. Woods; timekeepers, G. W. Knapp, Jr., 1L., and W. W. Hoyt 3M.; goal umpires, E. E. Wheeler '00, C. M. Guggenheimer 1L.

The line-up of the two teams follows:

Harvard--Goddard, goal; Wynne, point; Mortland (capt.), E. E. Carter, coverpoint; Hardy, Coyle, first defense; Kutcher, Binger, second defense; Sever, third defense; Breed, centre; Taylor; third attack; Stevenson, Penhallow, second attack; Howard, first attack; Fenwick, outside home.
