JUNIORS LACROSSE CHAMPIONS

Freshmen Defeated in a Close Game.--Juniors Receive Cups.

The Junior lacrosse team won the class championship yesterday, defeating the Freshman team by the score of 1 to 0.

The game was closely fought from the start as is shown by the score, and marked by good all round playing on both sides. The greater experience of the Juniors, however, gave them an advantage which the Freshmen were not able to overcome. Alvord scored the only goal of the game, and did the best individual playing.

This victory entitles the members of the Junior team to the cups offered by the Harvard Lacrosse Club of New York.
