The seventh concert by the Boston Symphony Orchestra, which took place in Sanders Theatre last night, was uniformly excellent, even though the programme was of rather a sombre nature.
The programme consisted of Mendelssohn's Overture to Athalie; Brahm's A minor concerto for Violin and Violoncello, and Tchaikowsky's "Pathetique" Symphony. Messrs. Kneisel and Schroeder were the soloists, and their rendering of the Brahm Concerto did full justice to its beauty. The performance of the Tchaikowsky Symphony was particularly brilliant and spirited.
