At a mass meeting of the university last week, a new plan, recently proposed by the officers of the Athletic Association, concerning the election of officers for the four main branches of athletics, was unanimously adopted. Under the old system, each department of athletics elected its own officers. The new plan provides for the final election of nominees at a general university meeting. It will be put into effect at once.

Sixty-six candidates have reported for the freshman baseball team. The candidates for the university team will be called out on February 16.

A university polo club has been formed. As a large tract of land, including a polo field and a race track, has been secured, practice will begin as soon as the weather permits.

The annual junior promenade will be held on Tuesday, February 3.
