In the preliminary round of the intercollegiate whist tournament last night, Harvard defeated Yale by the score of 5 to 3 in the only match played. Columbia is the only other university represented and will play Harvard tonight for the championship.
The University team is composed of the following men: A. C. England 4M., Captain, V. K. Keesey '03, C. W. Barry '03, G. B. Kerper 1L.
