Fencing Team Defeated M. I. T.

The University fencing team won its second match from the Institute of Technology at the Institute gymnasium on Saturday night by a score of 5 to 4 and thus won the series of two out of three matches. The match was close and hard fought. The best fencing of the evening was done by J. Lage of Technology, who won all three of his bouts. H. W. Holmes 1G. and A. Tyng '04, each won two bouts. The Harvard team was composed of H. W. Holmes 1G., A. Tyng '04 and W. MacLeod '05; the Technology team was composed of Lage, Gatewood and Fogerty. The result by bouts was as follows:

First, A. Tyng '04, won from Gatewood; second, Lage won from W. MacLeod '05; third, H. W. Holmes 1G. won from Fogerly; fourth, Gatewood won from W. MacLeod '05; fifth, Lage won from A. Tyng '04; sixth, W. MacLeod '05 won from Fogerty; seventh, H. W. Holmes 1G. won from Gatewood; eighth, A. Tyng '04 won from Fogerty; ninth, Lage won from H. W. Holmes 1G.
