Yale Crew Rowing Well.

GALES FERRY, June 16.--The Yale university crew rowed two miles down stream this evening under favorable weather conditions. In spite of rough water, their time was 10 m. 5 s. In a brush with the freshmen on the way back, the university crew pulled an even stroke and won easily, crossing the finish line 3 1-2 lengths in the lead.

This afternoon the freshman crew rowed a mile in 6 m. 15 s., in choppy water which accounts for the slow time.

The coaches intended that the university crew should cover the four-mile course this morning, but after rowing down stream for 1 1-2, miles, a storm came up and they paddled back to the quarters in a heavy shower. The crew showed fine form, putting up the stroke to 32 for the last half mile.

The four-oared crew rowed up stream during the shower followed by Kennedy and the other coaches in the launch.

Blair and Dauielson of the freshman crew, who were out, of the boat yesterday on account of illness, were back again today, rowing at bow and 3 respectively.
