In the basketball practice last evening the University team defeated the second team by the score of 20 to 14. At the close of the first half the score was 12 to 0 in favor of the second team. The University team did not attempt to shoot for goals, but endeavored to retain possession of the ball under its opponents' basket. In the second half the University team was allowed to try for baskets and easily made 10 goals. On the whole, improvement was shown over the work of the Pennsylvania game in both shooting and passing. At times the University team worked together well and developed fast team play.
