First Round of Interclass Tennis

In the first round of the interclass tennis played yesterday the Seniors defeated the Juniors, 5 matches to 4, and the Sophomores defeated the Freshmen, 7 to 2. Today the Seniors will play the Sophomores for the class championship. Following is the result of yesterday's matches:

Singles--J. M. Morse '07 defeated C. C. Pell '08, 6-3, 6-2; S. P. Henshaw '07 defeated R. S. Lovering '08 2-6, 6-1, 6-3; H. W. Nichols '07 defeated H. Green '08, 6-4, 9-7; A. M. Harlow '07 defeated C. R. Leonard '08, 6-1, 7-b; J. Tyng '08 defeated F. Goodale '07, 6-2, 6-4; S. T. Stackpole '07 defeated W. H. Y. Hackett '08, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3; A. S. Dabney '09 defeated G. P. C. R. Leonard '08 and W. H. Y. Hackett '08 qualified for the final round of the doubles tennis tournament yesterday by defeating F. F. deRham 3L. and G. P. Gardner '10, 16-18, 6-2, 6-4. The finals of the tournament will be played today at 2 o'clock, when F. J. Sulloway 3L. and F. W. Cole 3L. will meet C. R. Leonard '08 and W. H. Y. Hackett '08. The best three out of five sets will decide the match.
