The chess team will play Yale in Dwight Hall, New Haven, on the evening of November 23. Ten men, chosen by competition, will play in this match. A team will also be sent against Yale, Princeton, and Columbia in the Intercollegiate Chess Tournament in New York on December 21 and 22.
The club has entered a team of five men in the Metropolitan Chess League's "round robin" tournament. The team will play one club in this league each Tuesday night. In the first game of the series Harvard lost to the Boston Young Men's Christian Union by the score of 4 1-2 to 1 1-2.
