The University hockey squad practiced yesterday afternoon on Hill Pond, Arlington. A 50-minute scrimmage was played in which the University team was defeated by the second team, the score being 3 to 1. The play of the University team was ragged and without speed. The second, on the other hand, showed good team work and its attack was very strong, its chief weakness being in accurate shooting. Pell played his usual good game and Irving did the best work for the second team.
The summary: Score-Second team, 3; University team, 1. Goals-Irving 2, Briggs, Ford. Timer-Donovan. Time-50-minute period.
