Neglect of Duties by Ushers.

For the last two games there has been a much smaller number of ushers than was assigned, owing to the failure of a considerable number of men to appear. In each case it had been necessary to omit from the final list of ushers the names of many men who had signed the blue-book at the last moment. It seems unfair that these men who desire to usher should be kept from doing so by the men who fail to show up at the proper time on days of games. Another important point is that this loss of ushers assigned to definite sections causes considerable delay in people getting to their seats. The crowd on Saturday will be the largest of the season, and consequently the most difficult to handle; and I trust that all the ushers who are assigned places will for once at least not neglect their duty.
